New Orlando restaurant opening with additional Orange County locations scheduled
ATHENS, Ga. – February 26, 2019 –The newest Zaxby’s in Orlando, Florida is coming to 6920 Orange Blossom Trail in March. A fan favorite for chicken fingers and wings, the new fast-casual restaurant is the 97th Zaxby’s in Florida out of more than 900 locations across 17 states.
“Boris and I first started as cooks with Zaxby’s in 2002 with our sights set on opening our own location one day,” said Shaun Morris, who owns the restaurant with Boris Ochsenius Jr., Blake Fletcher and Cotton Fletcher. “This new location is our third in Orange County, and we are just getting started. We are thrilled to continue expanding in this area where we’ve received so much support from the community.”
With seating for 72, the 3,800-square-foot farmhouse-style location reflects Zaxby’s commitment to providing an exceptional fast-casual dining experience including a redesigned exterior, kitchen and dining area featuring two proprietary Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. The point-of-sale counter service has been upgraded, and this Zaxby’s is the first in Florida to offer double drive lanes improving speed of service. Online ordering is available through zaxbys.com as well as the Zaxby’s app. Third-party delivery is offered via Uber Eats.
An alternative to fast food, Zaxby’s serves fresh, prepared-at-order, hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz and Wings made in a variety of nine sauces. The menu also features four Zalads and eight sandwiches along with innovative Zappetizers including Tater Chips and Spicy Fried Mushrooms, and Party Platterz for large groups. The first 100 guests at the Orange Blossom Trail March opening will receive a Zaxby’s Deck of 52 Dealz with menu favorites.
“We’re currently seeking a team of more than 70 members from the local area for this new location,” Morris said. “Our goal is to help team members accomplish their goals while they are helping accomplish ours. The licensee group, BSBC Chicken LLC, has plans for major growth in Orange County and intends to open 12 additional restaurants over the next five years.
